Conserving Resources for Sustainable Flourishment - Pond Development in Gujarat

The focus of this initiative is to develop effective and sustainable infrastructure for water conservation through refurbishment of three ponds across 23 acres of land in Vithalapur, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. To ensure a resourceful future for the generations to come, we at Honda have kick started this project step-by-step through levelling the ground, deepening the bottom, stone pitching and creating recharging pits in order to maintain and rise the water table as required, depending on weather conditions. Through this water conservation intervention, we aim to benefit Vithalapur by ensuring perennial water supply to the villagers.
