On 20th September 2025, Honda India Foundation (HIF) observed International Coastal Cleanup Day with a large-scale beach cleaning drive at Besant Nagar Beach, Chennai. The activity brought together 120 Honda associates, zonal office teams, dealers, and their families, united by a shared goal of protecting the coastline and preventing marine pollution.
The initiative reflects Honda India Foundation’s commitment to environmental protection, marine conservation, and community participation. By mobilizing employees and families, the activity reinforces the belief that collective effort can drive meaningful change.

The event began with a warm welcome address by Mr. Piyush Mittal, setting the tone for a meaningful day of service and environmental stewardship.
Equipped with masks, gloves, tongs, trash bags, and awareness placards, participants actively collected waste scattered across the shoreline. Through a dedicated collective effort, volunteers successfully removed and weighed 617 kg of trash, preventing it from entering the ocean and harming coastal ecosystems.
A striking Honda sand sculpture was created to mark the occasion, followed by a group photograph capturing the energy and unity of the entire team.
