Community Based RO Plant

India’s varied topography and monsoon dependency results in some parts of the country enjoying large resources of water whereas other parts of the country, experience a grave dearth. Given this, an acute challenge facing rural India is the lack of availability and accessibility of clean water. In line with Honda's vision of providing value to the community, Honda has installed community water plants in the villages. To generate employment for the rural youth as part of this effort, local villagers are engaged for running of the water plants, thus making this a self-sustainable model. Till now Honda has been able to install 60 RO plants in the villages and several more are on the anvil.
