The Honda Road Safety Ambassadors Program, launched by Honda India Foundation at Honda Samajik Vikas Kendra, Naurangpur, is a youth-focused initiative designed to create informed and responsible citizens who actively promote safer driving and riding behaviours. The program strengthens Honda’s global commitment to achieve Zero Traffic Collision Fatalities by 2050, including a mid-term goal of reducing fatalities by 50% by 2030.
To build a robust ecosystem of informed youth leaders who transform attitudes toward road safety and help create safer roads for all.
Each batch undergoes a comprehensive 3-month training module, which includes:
15 days of classroom learning on traffic rules, safe riding, and pedestrian behaviour.
75 days of community engagement, where participants educate families, peers, and local communities.
This blend of theory and field action makes every participant a catalyst for behavioural change on the roads.
The program aims to develop and empower 3,870 Road Safety Ambassadors across communities. Ambassadors are selected from HIF’s ongoing flagship initiatives, including:
